I still remember seeing it, one of my all-time sci fi favorites as a kid.

The worse the weather gets, the more people will get it. But we can’t sit back and wait. I think we’re reaching a tipping point of consciousness, even as the economics and politics are even more complex and difficult to overcome than anything we’ve seen with the fiscal cliff. At least, that’s my hope. . . .

And thanks for the timely comments about the need to address climate change. I really wonder how many times we’ll need to be hit over the head before people galvanize for action. Yet addressing the problems will not be easy. It’s not like we can just send out a naval search-and-destroy mission to track down Nemo’s submarine . . . .
