Thanks, Pat. And yes, Air B&B is definitely the way to go. I always look for full apartments so we can have privacy. Reviews are also a key factor, as well as how long the host has been listed (though we have found some good, newer options, as well). My new checklist, after this trip, is to also look for a place with WIFI and a washing machine.

Go for it, Linda! I never thought I would be able to do this kind of traveling until I tried. We all have to be realistic about our physical limitations, but it’s not all-or-nothing. I wish you wonderful adventures!

I should also thank you for encouraging me to try Airbnb for our trip to Israel. We scored a lovely apartment for the week that cost about as much as two days in a hotel would have been for our group. And we had a great time all week, meeting relatives, visiting my new son-in-law’s favorite restaurants, and of course, enjoying the wedding!
