Yikes! That would totally freak me out. So far, we’ve caught six. Much quieter in the house. So either the rest have been warned off or we’ve taken care of the issue. Hope so, anyway.

Hot-water heat pipes run through baseboards throughout our house, and the mice have used these tunnels for transit. Disconcerting to hear one scrabbling by in the bedroom when we are trying to sleep. But the most alarming sighting I remember is when one poked his head up inside the gas stove burner. Talk about wanting to give the facilities a THOROUGH cleaning! In my experience, though, killing a few mice in traps has tended to make the others lie low. As long as I don’t see them or find evidence of their presence, I’m willing to share the warmth.
