Thanks, Kathy. Yes, there is a lot of info in the correspondence, including newspaper clippings and letters, so she had a lot of leads.

As it happens my parents were married 9 days later on July 10, 1949. Their wedding album doesn’t have their names in it, just the photography studio which I’m sure is long gone. So had it made a similar disappearance I don’t know if there would have been any way to trace it back. Luckily for you there much have been some identifying information to make its way back to you. How wonderful for you that you have it now.
