I feel your pain, Patricia. That said, it was the two CVS employees at the last pharmacy who really went out of their way to help me straighten it out. I think it really comes down to both corporate culture and the individual store management and staff. I hope you're able to find good service when Kroger reopens.

Oh, and yes, my Kroger store site was a stopping off point for Canadian Geese & I loved watching them organize their crossing the parking lot as they looked for just the right spot to stop for a while. Even THEY avoid the CVS location that is right next door.....

Sharing your frustration with CVS here in Durham NC. I swore I would never used them again after experiencing the same kind of customer service when my husband (now deceased) was prescribed an expensive cancer drug that he HAD to start that day. Called our usual store, yes they had it. Took the handwritten RX (yes it was long ago) to the store - no they didn't have it in stock but the could get it for me in the next few days (maybe). I "could" call the other stores if I wanted to see if any other store had it. After 3 hours of calling & driving around the tri-county store locations, I finally got it filled. Never again, I said. Well, 15 years later I'm back to CVS. I was getting all my meds at my local Kroger Store Pharmacy & they were wonderful, going the extra mile for me more times that I can count. However, Kroger abruptly closed all their stores in this area & transferred me to the closest pharmacy - CVS. Kroger is now operating under a different name here but their pharmacies will not be functional until early 2019, so I have been stuck with CVS since July. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Just got a mailer telling me how great CVS is for Medicare Part D. No/low co/pays etc. It could be zero cost & I would pass on it.
